Founder of Quick Intelligence, Steve is a qualified and skilled Qlik consultant with
over 20 years’ experience in developing, building, and deploying business solutions
that solve the seemingly impossible. He is the lead consultant, developer, and trainer
for QI, devoting his time to enabling business insights, through data, which far
outreach client expectations.
As a self-proclaimed control freak Steve demands the very best from himself and
his small, agile team of consultants to ensure intelligent solutions for many business
sectors including retail, finance, pharmaceutical, and distribution. He only works with
awesome people so you know that, as a client of QI, you have access to consultants
whose talents match his.
Steve has been programming since the days of his ZX Spectrum and his
programmer ponytail, honing his skills on Delphi, Visual Basic, and MS
SQL server, searching for programs that could evolve from data repository
to create output that truly impresses. He has sought to work on a design, build,
deploy basis in every industry he’s touched, from helicopter flight emulating
to bespoke financial house software. It was at web-based banking software provider,
Vega Solutions, that Steve’s love affair with QlikView began, and he realised he had
found the software he wanted to spend all his time with: Quick Intelligence was born.
Steve is an esteemed authority on Qlik products: he is the author of a leading blog,
technical editor of choice for a number of Qlik publications, and is a Qlik Luminary
and Community MVP. Steve uses his collaboration and communication skills to
ensure that every customer has access to this wealth of knowledge and experience
on every project: the answer is in there.
Steve is the first to admit that down-time is scarce, but when he’s not being Mr. Qlik he is helping his daughter Bethany Dark with her aspirations to be a musician, or being busy as Group Scout Leader of his son’s Scout Group, 1st Warfield.
