In reply to karlpover. There is a level of openness that is appearing with Sense that was not there with QlikView. Everything these days is about sharing, be it on social media or internally within organisations. Having data at your disposal worth sharing and a tool to make the presentation of those data something special is a winning combination.

Thanks for the update Steve. Let’s hope it is integrated seamlessly with QlikView just like Tableau let’s you access census data natively in their maps. This might even help QlikView gain traction among data scientists.

Taking advantage of this news to add my two cents on which type of company I would like QlikView to acquire, I would really like to see QlikView acquire somebody that would help them handle more data directly in the associative data model, or allow users to create data models as easy as it is to create a mind map.

This almost certainly is about access to the data sets, and potentially also some SaaS know- how. Combine these things with Sense visualizations is exciting!
