2 Day QlikView Training Course – Virtual Classroom
Quick Intelligence are recognised experts in delivering QlikView solutions. We offer classroom based
QlikView training courses so that you too can design and build attractive, performant and scalable applications.
Course Programme
Day 1
We will be getting to know QlikView and looking at bringing in data from a number of different data sources. We will explore data modelling in QlikView and set up a template ready for displaying data in a consistent format across tabs.
Day 2
Here we will introduce the many features in QlikView for displaying data and talk about which ones are most appropriate for different audiences. We will implement an application using the D.A.R. (Dashboard-Analysis-Report) methodology.
We also offer a four day course that includes the material covered in this course plus an additional two days covering advanced scripting and data modelling. For details of this course please click here.
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn QlikView development and cares about doing things properly.
Whilst the material starts from a blank page and takes delegates through creating an application some prior usage of QlikView Desktop would be advantageous.
If you are already a skilled QlikView developer this course will help ensure that you are developing apps that conform to recognised best practices. Breakout sessions will also allow you to ask more involved direct questions to the trainer.
What will I learn?
The course material is based on the acclaimed book QlikView 11 For Developers and follows the chapters of this book. The course will allow you to master the exercises laid out in the book with assistance and advice from the trainer. It is also an opportunity to ask questions, to dig deeper into the material and associated topics.
We start with a brief overview of QlikView and it’s associative data model, then cover getting data in from various data sources and tackle some common ‘troublesome’ data formats. The options available for presenting your data in QlikView are covered in detail as well as tips on making your dashboards look great.
